About the Project

Creating a virtual store for Samsung products before and after market for key decision makers for visualization of product placement.

• Way to visualize store and arrangements

• Observation and quick placement of tables and items arranged for buyers for previsualization and testing

• Navigation of space and store

• Modeling and display placement of Samsung products as 3d assets

• Future ideation for concept of online store and usable items to purchase and use in VR

Goals

Save time and quickly iterate digital store fronts and items merging with the physical, with potential consideration for full future digital stores.

Vray Shaders match environment with IBL techniques similar to film for compositing shots into a 360 images. Setting up core layouts similar to the store for quick updates and navigation. The models are Fusion 360 CAD, then optimized in 3ds Max.

The image looks CG by itself, but when composited with the correct environment and reflections looks real. Many of the items are slightly turned and offset to subconsciously make the users feel they are believably placed when viewing inside the VR headset.
